Start an inquiry01 / Preparation
A clear brief makes room for better work.
Paint, form, colour and light planned together before the shoot. We discuss references, timing, location, styling and delivery before the session.
You do not need to know how to pose or arrive with a finished concept. Direction stays practical and collaborative.
What we agree together
- Concept, references and practical setup
- Direction, pace and comfort
- Privacy and image use
- Editing and agreed delivery
Phase 2A service guide
A service shaped around the actual brief.
Bodypaint photography asks surface, colour, body, light and time to work together. Paint is not only decoration added to a portrait; it changes movement, the way a form is read and the way light travels across an image. This service is for a model and creative team that want to explore that relationship deliberately. The starting point may be a colour idea, pattern, material, story or abstract direction.
Before the shoot, we discuss what the paint should do in the image and what is needed in practice. That includes the body painter, materials, clothing or protection, the working surface and how the session will be built. Not everything needs to be decided in the first inquiry. It is useful to explain what is already arranged, who is participating, and what matters to the person in front of the camera.
Photography develops through a rhythm of applying, observing, adjusting and making images. We can check whether a colour works under the light and whether a pose supports the painted form. Clear guidance and regular check-ins keep the process understandable. Comfort and boundaries remain central; an impressive image never outranks the experience of the people making it.
The finished series may be a study, editorial project or personal body of work, depending on the brief. Usage, privacy, selection and delivery are discussed for that project only. This page therefore does not fill in unconfirmed quantities, formats, prices or timelines. Send an inquiry with your concept and the makers involved. The existing process page explains the wider consent approach.
Who this is for
For models, body painters and creative teams who want paint, skin, form, colour and movement to work as one visual language.
Session scope
Preparation may include concept, materials, sequence, protection, styling and atmosphere. Bodypaint is not treated as a standard portrait with paint added on.
Process and location
We discuss the idea and practical preparation first. During the session, comfort, materials and visual direction remain part of the check-ins.
The base is Purmerend, and projects throughout the Netherlands can be discussed. The working space must suit the concept.
